A manufacturer’s guide to the Salesforce Winter ‘22 Release

Another change of the seasons, another Salesforce release to study up on… right? We know most decision-makers don’t have time for that. But you still want to stay up to date on the latest developments that pertain to your industry and Salesforce management. Enterprise Account Forecasting

Applicable Cloud: Manufacturing Cloud

This update allows business users to customize their forecast calculations according to the needs of each business unit. Users can engage sales, operations, and demand planning teams more effectively with more sophisticated demand forecasting that can handle the complexities and distinctions of each business unit. These customizations include dimensions and period groups and configured forecast sets. 

To access this feature, Manufacturing Cloud users can follow these steps:  Select Setup > Enter “Manufacturing” in the Quick Find box > Select Advanced Account Forecasting  

Rebate Management Enhancements

Applicable Cloud: Rebate Cloud

Dynamic rebate management is one of the latest and greatest features to hit the manufacturing space, and Salesforce is taking every measure to elevate its rebate management offering. This latest round of enhancements allows Salesforce admins to easily select products to include or exclude from the rebate programs without any code. Additionally, admins can directly enter transactions on an account to run the rebate program against previous transactions made. 

Tableau CRM for Manufacturing Enhancements

Applicable Cloud: Manufacturing Cloud and Tableau CRM

Speaking of rebates, this enhancement allows business users to use a predictive Einstein Discovery template to get greater insight into their potential monthly impact of a given rebate program—before you’ve even activated it. Users can visualize the predicted outcomes with Tableau CRM functionality and even collect dynamic data insights on potential rebate programs for accounts that aren’t currently on a rebate program. 

To access these enhancements, business users can follow these steps within Tableau CRM Analytics Studio: Create > App | Analytics for Manufacturing > Follow the wizard instructions.  

Sales Agreement Enhancements

Applicable Cloud: Manufacturing Cloud

Sales agreements are mission-critical for manufacturers dependent on long-term contracts with their buyers and partners. The latest Winter ‘22 update takes sales agreement management up a notch by providing product category support. Admins can create and manage agreements at higher aggregate levels and increase overall efficiency. 

To access this, Manufacturing Cloud admins just have to simply select “Product Category” in the “Product Level” field when creating or editing a sales agreement.
