Nov 3, 2014 | Admin, Latest News, Sales Cloud

One effective way to use Salesforce is for monitoring the rate at which your company uses resources to help improve its sustainability.  Here are a few tools that will help you meet your sustainability goals.

CloudApps Sustainability Cloud

This app helps you with your sustainability goals. Making your business more sustainable isn’t just good for the environment, it’s also good for saving money in order to make your business more profitable. This tool helps you set sustainability goals to bring down the rate at which your business consumes resources.

It can help you meet disclosure reporting requirements such as for CRC, CD or GRI.  The tool has a monthly fee attached to it, but it claims to be able to help you save 10% on costs related to travel and energy for your business.

One of the tool’s main features is called SuMo, which means Success through motivation, and it gives your employees the drive to help meet sustainability goals through gamification techniques.

This tool allows you to get some information about utility companies offering incentive programs based on installing certain fixtures that are more energy efficient.  You can use the tool to figure out how much you might save if you have your business participate in a particular incentive program.

The tool shows you measurements based on HVAC, T-stats and other characteristics. The report section shows possible money and kW savings as well.

By making use of these Salesforce tools, you can steer your company towards being more sustainable which is going to give you a wider profit margin and something to tell customers regarding the integrity of your business.
