26 Nov Thank you for an amazing Dreamforce ‘19 experience!
by Amy Cook
When you encounter a project the size and magnitude of Dreamforce, you hope you’ve addressed every detail, gathered the best talent and skills for the job, and tapped into the most creative and effective ways to connect with a message people are looking for at the event.
I can proudly say that each of those goals were realized this week.
Months of thought and preparation went into providing creative resources and thoughtful SWAG for Simplus guests. It was enough to fill a house. Here I am driving my car from my home in SoCal to San Francisco.
Our Senior Event and Marketing Manager, Wayne Bulsiewicz, was happy to see that his vision and planning conveyed a professional, streamlined, and welcoming experience for guests at our venues.
Meet the Dreamforce Concierge Crew:
Spencer Bugg (Videographer), Burke Anderson (Campaign Manager), and Jason Osmond (Campaign Manager) made sure booths and venues were stocked, videoed, and ready to rock and roll. They also spent some good quality time developing curated schedules for our guests.
It was important to us that our PowerUp Party last Monday had everything a professional needed to charge up and kick off the week in style! Thanks to all who came—with over 4000 registered, it was one of the biggest and hottest parties at Dreamforce this year.
We hope you all enjoyed the world-class entertainment, heavy hors d’oeuvres, unlimited drinks, zen massages, shoe shines, and amazing 360° view of San Francisco.
Chris Gardner, Director of Solution Services, taught a breakout session called, “An Admin’s Guide to Sharing and Visibility.”
Joe Carr, our fearless VP of Talent, taught a breakout session called, “Proven Strategies to attract and support new talent.”

(Director Sales West)
Chris Osment of Mitsubishi discussed “How a multi-year, multi-phased transformation changed Mitsubishi’s CRM approach.” We are grateful to work with Chris as one of our amazing customers.
Chris McDonald, our customer at Saint-Gobain, shared how to transform the manufacturing customer experience across sales channels.
Carlo Joe, our amazing customer from SelectHealth, spoke at a breakout session: “Adopting Lightning: What less custom code does for healthcare Salesforce users.”
AJ Shawney, Customer Success Manager, and Annamaria Hickman, Associate Consultant, made us proud as they helped promote the Salesforce Military Alliance.
Joe Carr explains further: “A poignant moment for Annamaria Hickman and myself at the Dreamforce Career Fair. Last Dreamforce, Annamaria walked up to the Simplus table at this very same event. She is a military spouse in the wonderful Salesforce Military program and came to us with zero Salesforce experience having worked running a homeless shelter in Salt Lake City. I texted our EVP of PS at the time and told him we had found our first bootcamp candidate. Fast forward one year and we literally couldn’t survive without her on the managed services team.”

Simplus Coffee and Demos. Good to the last drop!
So. . . this happened.
And then this. . . CPQ fans and veterans alike gathered for our Quote-to-Cash Cocktails event, where we announced the publication of The Definitive Quote-to-Cash Guide by Gilles Muys, VP of Customer Solutions at Simplus. QTC gurus Max Rudman, Godard Abel, and Ryan Westwood helped celebrate the book!
The Simplus Manufacturing Breakfast featured a fantastic presentation from our customer, Steve Stessman, VP of National Retail Sales at Tuff Shed, on transforming manufacturing businesses through Quote-to-Cash. The morning was sponsored by some of our favorite partners, including KBMax, Conga, MuleSoft, and Salesforce.
A few more highlights…
The Dreamforce Career Fair gave us a great chance to meet new recruits and share a little bit about the Simplus culture!
Part of the Simplus team spent the mornings working out and going for runs in San Francisco with a gorgeous view of the Golden Gate bridge. Thanks to our Simplus Salesforce Military Alliance for coordinating these workouts!
Dreamforce ‘19 was a jam-packed week full of great insights, new connections, and exciting announcements from Salesforce.
To our wonderful customers and trusted partners, thank you for making our Dreamforce experience meaningful and enjoyable. We look forward to working with you to Simplify your Salesforce Journey and transform your businesses!
