Santiago VacaGuzman is our September employee feature here at Simplus! A consultant of nearly two years at Simplus, Santi is a friendly, natural leader, taking on more challenging work with an eagerness that reflects his drive to grow. His ability to quickly analyze and deliver solutions is impressive to every client lucky enough to work with him. Clearly, the entire Simplus team is made better having Santi on board, and we wanted to share some interesting things about him:
What do you do at Simplus?
I help organizations improve their processes and productivity by using Salesforce to better customer relationships, automate manual processes, and speed up revenue recognition.
What are some achievements of which you are most proud? Both professionally and personally.
I am very proud of my family and the unconditional support they have always given me. Also, I am proud of speaking three languages fluently; it has been a great advantage in my career as well as an asset for volunteering opportunities throughout my life. Lastly, I am very proud to have served my country, Bolivia.
What are your hobbies?
My passion is reading and learning new things—no matter what the subject is. I also spend my free time playing the guitar and cards with family and friends.
Why do you like working at Simplus?
I like being surrounded by bright, sharp, but humble people. I dare to say that every Simplus employee I have had the pleasure to work with has these three attributes, and they are so willing to freely help you succeed. Simplus has a great culture of ownership and succeeding as a team.
Tell us a little bit about your professional background.
My background is in management consulting, business analysis, finance, advanced investments, and capital markets. I have worked for very small companies as well as large, multi-national, S&P 500 companies, such as Anheuser-Busch and Goldman Sachs.
What do you feel are your greatest contributions that help make Simplus the best consulting firm?
I would say my broad and extensive experience in business and finance is a great asset when it comes to understanding our clients’ needs as well as recommending industry best practices.
If you are playing Two Truths and a Lie, what answers stump people every time?
I would say that people are surprised to hear I have swum with alligators.
Thank you, Santi, for everything you do at Simplus!
