What do you do at Simplus?
I work as a Senior Salesforce Consultant with the Delivery Team.
What are some achievements of which you are most proud? Both professionally and personally.
On the professional front, even though I believe there is a long journey ahead of me, I am proud of my career transition and the journey I have had so far. Starting my career as a .Net developer, transitioning into Salesforce, exploring and learning Vlocity and MuleSoft, and getting certified on the way. I consider myself fortunate for getting and being able to grab opportunities that allow me to work on different technologies, which helps me to be versatile and provide creative solutions for tough problems.
On the personal front, I am happy that I have joined a company that encourages work-life balance.
What are your hobbies?
I enjoy traveling, cooking, and spending time with my family. With travel, I like exploring new places, going on nature hikes, and meeting new people. I love cooking and trying new cuisines as cooking helps me release any stress and helps to rejuvenate my mind.
Why do you like working at Simplus?
Within a week of joining the company, the Vice President of the company took time to meet me personally and speak a lot about the company culture, and it is what I love most about Simplus. I had mentioned during my hiring that I would like to learn and explore new technologies while working on Salesforce. Simplus management has always encouraged and has shown confidence in me to take up challenging roles thereby motivating me to learn something new. The knowledge that the people in the company possess is immense and it feels great to be surrounded by such talented people. Everyone I have met in the company is awesome and has always welcomed me with warmth.
Tell us a little bit about your professional background.
I have around 12 years of experience in IT. I started my career as a .Net developer and then transitioned into Salesforce. In my ongoing journey so far, I have 7 Salesforce, 2 Vlocity, 2 Microsoft, and 1 MuleSoft certifications. I have worked on different technologies, but by far Salesforce has been the technology that I love and enjoy working with to solve customer problems.
What do you feel are your greatest contributions that help make Simplus the best consulting firm?
I believe my curiosity to learn at each step and my ability to adapt to different technologies are the two biggest assets that I believe can be beneficial to any project. I also like working on challenging projects and completing them on time. I believe in sharing my knowledge with my teammates and company and will continue to do so in all ways possible.
If you are playing Two Truths and a Lie, what answers stump people every time?
I am fluent in 4 languages. (I also had learned German which would have made the count 5, but then I lost touch with it.)
Congratulations again, Shiju! So glad to call you part of the Simplus team.
