Game-winning e-commerce for a global athletic apparel company

Feb 6, 2023 | Retail and Consumer Goods

PUMA, a global icon of the athletic footwear and apparel industry, recognized several years ago that it needed to modernize its customer-facing e-commerce operations. PUMA had lofty ambitions: It wanted to create a first-class shopping experience enabled by powerful, intuitive functionalities and multiple payment options—and it wanted these investments to translate to a proportional gain in sales.

Initially, PUMA partnered with Simplus to modernize the e-commerce capabilities of the PUMA Canada website. From there, the sky became the limit. PUMA and Simplus embarked on a multi-year journey to radically transform the user experience for PUMA customers across multiple key market segments. Of all the changes, the biggest gamechanger for PUMA has been integrating an alternative payment system known as Afterpay into PUMA’s sales ecosystem.

Learn more about how Simplus helped PUMA grow Afterpay into the company’s second most-used customer payment option, eclipsing even Paypal in popularity.
