Ways of depicting data in Salesforce

Oct 29, 2014 | Admin, Latest News, Sales Cloud

Some of the initial ways that Salesforce shows data can be confusing. It helps to have tools to display your Salesforce information in a way that is easier to understand. Here are a few tools that help you understand Salesforce data and display it.

GridBuddy

This tool is completely free to use and it allows you to display data in report form. You can also create arrays similar to spreadsheets so you can delete multiple related records all on the same page. It also allows you to display data based on multiple object filters.

GridBuddy additionally allows you to enhance the productivity of your users since they don’t have to go back and forth between multiple pages to see all data related to one project. The tool has functionality similar to what you’d find in Excel.

Knowledge Base

This is another free tool that gives you reports as well as data specific dashboards so you can keep track of all of your data easily. For example, if you’re monitoring the ratings of articles, you can look at which articles are doing the best and compare them against others.  In particular this tool helps with Salesforce Knowledge articles.

It lets you see how many articles have been made, which users made them, which ones have been updated, which ones have been edited, and so on. You can also see how often everything is being searched.

The tool also allows you to make a custom dashboard that will let you look at any custom reports that you want.
