The Challenge

1E was primarily operating with manual sales processes. It required the ability to automate additional products upon selection of a particular item. 1E also wanted a way to easily apply custom discount percentages based on user input, product detail, and management approval. 1E’s sales process was also over-engineered. Improving efficiency required migration from a Dynamics system that was overloaded with hundreds of custom fields. Lastly, 1E faced the challenge of streamlining a process that leveraged over four applications.

The Outcome

Simplus leveraged native SFDC functionality to replace 1E’s antiquated applications. Field sets were consolidated based on data analysis to remove unnecessary functions. Process builders were leveraged to insert product bundles and to also keep pricing in sync for certain product types. Additionally, formula fields, rollups, workflows, and validation rules were used to create a custom discounting/approval process, and Drawloop templates facilitated the custom quote generation.
