Exciting ways the new AppExchange products enhance the customer experience

The Salesforce AppExchange is an interactive ecosystem offering over 5,000 ready-to-install solutions, 80,000 peer reviews, and 6 million customer installs to help solve any business challenge built for the Salesforce platform. The AppExchange is one of the most innovative ways to access solutions shared by millions of Salesforce users and from every industry in the world. In fact, in its 2018 annual report, Salesforce announced that 95% of the Fortune 100 run at least one app from the AppExchange.

Salesforce recently announced two new products to enhance the customer experience. Introducing Consultants on AppExchange and AppExchange Partner Intelligence.


What is “Consultants on AppExchange”?

This section takes the guesswork out of searching for qualified, certified, and expert support in your respective industry. “AppExchange gives customers access to over 65,000 Salesforce-accredited consultants from more than 1,000 partners,” says Salesforce AppExchange General Manager Woodson Martin. This means customers can connect with consultants who can share strategic guidance, answer deep, technical questions, share relevant industry expertise, guide project implementations, etc.


How can I find the best consultant for my organization?

The Consulting Finder filtering feature helps users sort by industry, location, product, and practice size. By using the Consultant Finder, users can narrow down their search based on specific criteria that best fit their needs, such as company size and location, product questions, and level of industry expertise.


How do I know I chose the best consultant match?

The selection is vast. Fortunately, the Consultant Listing section provides an overview of the consultant’s business, relevant content, and contact information—so you can be sure you’ve made the right connection for your organization.


What can AppExchange Partner Intelligence do for me?

The real question is, what can it NOT do? The dashboard features of AppExchange Marketplace Analytics provide Salesforce partners with unparalleled insight on how users are engaging with apps. With this data, partners can build solutions based on six exciting features:

  • Track traffic origin.
  • Identify the search terms that customers are using.
  • Monitor the journey and conversion of potential customers.
  • Count how many users at a particular company are using an application.
  • Discover what new features are being adopted and how quickly.
  • Identify user behavior within apps.

“We’re putting intelligence directly in the hands of our partners with AppExchange Partner Intelligence,” says Martin. He added that both of these new products will make it easier for customers to find the best experts and specific solutions pertaining to their industry. “It’s a win-win for all AppExchange users, making it quicker for people to find the tools and resources to make their business successful,” says Martin. This feature is currently available on a pilot basis. Log into the partner portal and request to be part of the pilot program if you are interested in participating.
